Question:

I am a 26-year-old female and would like to have cheek implants. Do you insert the implants through the mouth or at the hairline? I also read somewhere that you could go through the lower eyelid. What are the pros and cons of each?

Answer:

This can be approached by going through the lower eyelid, however, in our practice and experience, we opt going through the mouth and the upper lip. We also place them in through the hairline, but we find that the least amount of recovery is to go up under the lip avoiding any extra-long incision.
