Question:

I had a blepharoplasty surgery several years ago and was amazed at how much it brightened up my face. Recently though I have begun to notice some sagging around my eyes again. Would you recommend I get another procedure done?

Answer:

Revision facial surgery is an undertaking that should only be done by someone with a strong background and vast experience in facial surgery. There are times when it is necessary to perform revisions when eyelid surgery has been done a number of years ago. Often instead of actually removing excess skin, the answer is instead to add volume to the area that is showing signs of aging. Typically we will utilize lipo transfer which is using a patient’s own fat to fill areas that have shown signs of volume loss.
