Question:
I would like treatment for my face mostly to reduce fine wrinkles. I also have several age spots that I would like removed. I am interested in laser treatment. Is this the recommended treatment over a chemical peel for what I have in mind?
Answer:
The pigment changes and lines that you are describing would probably be ideal for a TCA peel which may lighten the skin and tighten the wrinkles somewhat. Depending on your skin type and preferences in length of recovery, the TCA peel would be a good bet. However, you would need to come in to be evaluated to see if you would also benefit from pre-treatment with Triple Action Cream to address the brown spots. The GentleLase laser is effective for isolated brown lesions on the face which is also an option. However, this laser does not treat fine lines and wrinkles. So I believe a TCA peel would be your best option.
