Question:
How long is the surgical time for the body lift?
Answer:
The body lift procedure comprises a full abdominoplasty, anterolateral thigh lift and buttock lift at once with a circumferential incision that extends from the suprapubic area, goes towards the hip bones and all the way towards the back ending up between the buttock cheeks. This operation can take up to four to six hours to perform. There is a lot of positioning involved and it all depends also on the amount of skin and fat that is to be removed but it is a tremendous technique that can contour and shape the entire lower body and abdomen, especially in patients who have lost massive amount of weight, either on their own or following a gastric bypass.
