Question:

Are fat injections a good alternative to injectable fillers?

Answer:

Fat injections and injectable fillers both have the same goal of increasing facial volume that has been lost with the aging process. Injectable fillers can be placed in a relatively short clinic procedure that is noninvasive without the use of anesthesia. The downside is that they generally will last between one and two years. Fat injections on the other hand require a more invasive procedure to harvest the fat and then place it into your facial tissues but the result may last for a longer time. Also, depending on how much volume is needed in the face due to your own personal desires and facial analysis, fat transfer may be a more economical method when more volume is needed than using a large volume of injectable filler products.
