How is Cheek Augmentation Performed?

Question:

I would love to get cheek implants and have that look of high cheekbones. I don’t know anything about the surgery other than that implants are used. Can you explain how cheek augmentation is performed?

Answer:

For someone with a weak cheek bone structure, a cheek augmentation is a good procedure.  Typically the procedure is performed with incisions under the upper lip through a small incision that allows us to access the cheek.  Using this approach it eliminates any incision on the face.  The surgery takes between 1 to 1.5 hours and is done as an outpatient with a recovery period of approximately one week.
