Dr. Alain Polynice Implant-free, fat transfer breast augmentation technique expertly performed by Dr. Alain Polynice
If you are looking for a natural breast augmentation we can help you here at the Williams Center for Plastic Surgery. Micro-fat grafting is an implant-free, fat transfer breast augmentation technique expertly performed by Dr. Alain Polynice. Fat transfer breast augmentation uses liposuction to take fat from other parts of your body and injected in the fatty layer around and behind the breast. This breast augmentation option is ideal for women looking for a relatively small increase in breast size and would prefer natural results.
According to Dr. Polynice, recently recognized as one of America’s Top Doctors, using your own fat is an alternative to implants and ideally suited to restore volume that normally dissipates after child birth. This natural breast enhancement technique involves no incisions, no new scars and no foreign objects. The procedure is done as outpatient, under local sedation or general anesthesia.
This is a two-step procedure consisting of: 1) Harvesting fat by liposuction which has the added benefit of enhancing your shape by removing unwanted fatty deposits. 2) Shaping or sculpting the breast in greater detail than with implants alone.
Although, breast augmentation performed with the lipo-injection technique takes longer than traditional breast augmentation (with implants) the benefits are substantial including no need for implant replacement in the future.
Fat Transfer Process
During the outpatient procedure, Dr. Polynice removes fat from one area of your body and meticulously injects it these tiny individual droplets in the breast site. These micro-fat transfer are harvested by gentle liposuction from the thighs, buttocks or stomach. This fat is rinsed with sterile saline solution and then packaged into syringes and prepared for transfer. Approximately 20% of fat removed is suitable and available for fat grafting.
The technique enhances Dr. Polynice’s ability to create a natural augmentation without an implant. Fat grafting (also called lipoinjection or fat transfer) to the breasts is indicated for different reasons including an alternative to implants for mild to moderate breast augmentations, to provide fullness to the upper part of the breast during a breast lift, after pregnancy, age, or weight loss, following breast reconstruction, or to minimize the visibility or rippling of existing breast implants.
While the idea of breast fat transfer is not new, it has seen a resurgence in recent years, with several groups of plastic surgery researchers reporting successful results.
