Question:

I have rippling seven months after breast augmentation. What steps should be taken to correct this?

Answer:

Rippling can be a significant concern after breast augmentation. It usually occurs when people have very little breast tissue to begin with and when implants are placed under the breast tissue directly on top of the muscle. In those cases, there is very little tissue covering the implant and the rippling can be very noticeable. The only way to eliminate the rippling is to either change the implant pocket, replacing them in a pocket under the muscle. Another way to correct rippling is with a new product called Strattice which is a dermal matrix made from pig skin that has been used very successfully to provide additional coverage and support for implants and also to correct rippling.
