She had Graves' disease which made her eyes look much older and when she was treated she was still left with the bags on her lower eyes and upper eyes. Using the transconjunctival conjunctival approach to the lower lid we addressed the bags in the upper eyelid skin. She really wanted to share her story and photos so that it might help someone else who was struggling to make a decision for having blepharoplasty.

This patient is a 55 year old women from Albany, NY. This is a patient who had a lift by Dr. Williams almost 20 years ago, but she came back for an additional browlift and it was recommended that she have an upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty with fat grafting as well as a lower mid-face lift. She is here 1 year after the procedure and is extremely pleased with the results and has even stated jokingly that now she has “younger men hitting on her!”. This patient was once again extremely pleased with her experience here at the William Center but even more so with the very natural results that highlighted her eyes and natural beauty.

Before & After Pictures

Blepharoplasty is a facial plastic surgery procedure to remove excess fat, skin, and muscle from the upper and/or lower eyelids.

The results of blepharoplasty are eyes and eyelids that are no longer droopy, wrinkled, or puffy.

Instead, as visible in blepharoplasty before and after pictures, patients look younger and more refreshed than before.

Eyelid surgery may be performed on the upper eyelids, the lower eyelids, or both.

At the Plastic Surgery Center at Williams, Dr. Edwin Williams performs the “sliver technique” on the eyelids. This removes loose, excess skin which can make someone look like they are aged and constantly tired.

This is an office procedure that can be performed under local anesthesia and does not require extensive recovery. Work and most normal activities can be resumed after a week to ten days.
