This delightful patient has been doing research for several years finally became motivated to consider a facelift. When we asked her in consultation what bothers her most it was the vertical lines on her neck which someone described as chicken skin as well as the jowls, it really finally pushed her over the edge. When I saw this patient in consultation we attempted to show her what could be accomplished with a extended deep plane facelift. This patient is a 61 year old female from Wyantskill, New York. It was important to her to meet with a Facelift Specialist, after doing extensive research, she scheduled a consultation with Dr. Edwin Williams in his Latham, New York clinic to discuss her options. After meeting with Dr. Williams she decided to proceed with a Facelift. You can see her cheeks were moved up which helped the appearance of her lower eyelids, the nasolabial folds were softened and her jawline became more defined and the excess tissue on her neck is not seen anymore. Natural looking plastic surgery is all about balance. A Chin Implant was inserted along with Facial Liposuction to remove fat under the chin. This patient also had an Upper Lid Blepharoplasty to remove excess skin along with a Lower Lid Blepharoplasty. Fat transfers were performed under her eyelids and also on the mid-face for an extremely natural looking result. This patient decided to pursue an extended deep plane face and neck lift in conjunction with blepharoplasty and CO2 laser resurfacing. She said for the past several years, she not only looked aged, but she also didn't want to look into the mirror any longer. She was having a problem deciding to have something done because she felt guilty of taking care of herself or treating herself but finally decided to and received the support of her husband. Her sister-in-law had a deep plane facelift with Dr. Williams and this patient decided it was finally her time. She was very bothered by her neck as well as the wrinkling, jowling, and sagging around her mouth. She felt like she looked sad all the time. Here she is 2 months out from facelift surgery and laser resurfacing. There is considerable improvement in the wrinkling in her face and she feels she looks 20 years younger. This patient saw Dr. Williams and she was not liking the aging that was developing in the lower part of her face. She's always been somewhat self-conscious of her chin and wanted to get his opinion. This is a patient who was starting to become very bothered by the excess skin on her neck and the heaviness that she noticed on the bottom part of her face. She was looking for an opinion from Dr. Williams and he discussed with her that an upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty as well as a deep plane lower face and neck lift would address all of her concerns.
