Male Rhinoplasty Consultation
Board-certified cosmetic surgeon Dr. Edwin Williams treats every patient as an individual, starting with the consultation. Rhinoplasty can be done in a variety of ways to fix many different issues, both cosmetic and medical.
During the consultation, Dr. Williams uses digital imaging to create virtual before and after photos to show each patient what rhinoplasty results can look like on their own face.
This gives them visual insight into the possibilities of rhinoplasty and the impact that a straighter nose would have on the face.
Dr. Williams assesses the nose and decides on a recommended course of action. He works directly with each man to learn why they are looking to have rhinoplasty and explains the surgery in detail.
His 30-plus years of rhinoplasty experience allow him to handle a wide range of conditions and surgical goals, especially for men looking to have the perfect male nose.
Male Rhinoplasty Surgery
Dr. Williams tailors each surgery to the patient, whether he is performing surgery to address a large nose, nasal hump, saddle nose, crooked nose, drooping nose, or nasal tip.
Some men may prefer their nose to not be perfect, but instead maintain some character with a slight bump or crookedness.
This is, of course, up to the patient.
Dr. Williams’ ultimate goal is to deliver results that harmonize with the rest of the face and appear natural, while satisfying the patient’s cosmetic goals.
Male Rhinoplasty Recovery
Men who undergo rhinoplasty will have light dressing intact on their face on the day after surgery.
Patients should wear an outer splint for a week and avoid any activities that could damage the nose for a couple of weeks.
Initial bruising and swelling will be apparent, but visible signs should fade naturally in the days and weeks after the surgery. Patients may find that healing of internal swelling and more could take up to a year.
The Plastic Surgery Center at Williams team provides each patient with instructions for caring for their nose after crooked nose tip and nasal base surgery — including information on bleeding, infection, and other possible complications.
Dr. Williams is also happy to discuss revision rhinoplasty, which is an option chosen if a patient is unhappy with the results from a previous procedure.
Choosing a board-certified facial plastic surgeon and nasal specialist lowers a patient’s chances of dissatisfaction, because the surgeon is equipped with years of experience and training in rhinoplasty.
